Physical training and ball games are associated with high sound levels. It is important to be able to communicate clearly without shouting especially for sports teachers spending prolonged periods here. These activities in large volume spaces require consideration towards high impact, durability and safety aspects.

Acoustics

Reducing the high and often unacceptable noise levels is a key consideration, particularly as staff can spend a considerable time here. Sound breeds sound, creating a disturbing build-up of noise. Large open areas encourage speaking at a distance, and with the combined noise levels, voices tend to be raised adding to the problem.
